Unlimited grace

There are seasons in our lives that call for extra strength, extra perseverance, and extra motivation. In our weakness we can often feel disheartened by our inability to do and be all that we desire. The demands and pressures placed upon the average person are enough to drown them in this sea of life. The Lord knows our struggle; He has walked this journey before and in His sufferings, He gave us hope. When Christ was crucified, we were given grace, a grace that invited us into the presence of the Most High. Through this grace, we can have the hope of a Father who walks besids us, reaching out towards us, and giving us that which He knows we need. Through Christ we have a hope that is eternal, and suffering in this world no longer has a hold on us.

Stories from the week

Laura Ingalls Wilder once stated that,"If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere." Growing up in the wild prairies, she had intimate knowledge of her surroundings. This week, the wild reptile world entered the doors of Gardens Nook preschool. Looking at the delighted faces on our little children, Wilder's statement couldn't be more true. Indeed, beauty was found in the slithering of the snake and the quick jerking movements of the lizard's tongue.

Out and about, our grade 1 class adventured to Intaka Island to observe the wetland creatures inhabiting the canals. Documenting birds sightings, listening to lessons on conservation, and floating along the canal in a boat were all part of the morning activities.  Closer to home, our grade 2 class took a trip to the Arderne Gardens. Here, they were able to view four champion trees towering over the beautiful beds of flowers and shrubs. Becoming acquainted with these old majestic trees is a truly humbling experience.

Fossils, dinosaurs and history were all part of our grade 3 outing to the Iziko Museum. Witnessing real life fossils of prehistoric creatures whilst observing life size models of familiar dinosaurs allows for our children to tap into their imaginations and to try and picture what life was like for these great creatures.

Community notes

Parent prayer group

If you are free at 8am on Thursday mornings, please consider joining our parent prayer group as we come together and pray for our school.

Cycle tour fundraiser

In two week's time, our grade 6&7 teacher, Mrs Harrower, will be riding the 2026 Cape Town Cycle Tour to support Three Peaks Primary School. This year marks a special milestone for the family, as Catherine’s husband, Neil, will be riding his 21st Cycle Tour, with Catherine and their children, Daniel (13) and Emily (11) joining in to mark the occasion.

The family is also riding to raise funds for the Fee-Support and Library Funds at Three Peaks. Donations raised will resource our Fee Support Fund which comes alongside families who require financial assistance and contribute to the ongoing development of the school’s library resources for the benefit of all learners.

We encourage our school family to support this initiative by sponsoring their tour.  We'll also be sending out information via WhatsApp on Monday, so please do share widely and help us maximise the impact of this moment.

Ways to Donate:

Something to ponder...

“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work."

- 2 Corinthians 9:8 -

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend,
